Shipping, Returns, and other Policies

Due to the custom/personalized nature of most of my wood products I have outlined my shipping & return policies below.
By placing an order, you agree to these policies.
Due to the fact that most of my products are custom made or personalized individually per customer it is impossible to keep these products in stock. These items are made after you place your order. Production time is typically 7-10 days at which point they will be immediately shipped.
That may vary depending on the current workload that I am experiencing. If you are in a hurry to get an item please let me know and I will do everything I can to speed up the process.
All shipping will be via USPS and, usually, arrive 1-3 days from the ship date. (Continental US Only)
Undeliverable Packages – If a package is returned to my shop for any reason, there will be a charge to send the package again.
Custom or Personalized Items
There are no refunds on custom or personalized items under any circumstance. No exceptions. Furthermore, all sales are final and an order cannot be canceled once it is placed due to the custom nature of our products. Thank you for your understanding.
Non-Custom or Personalized Items
Non-custom or personalized items can be returned for a full refund, minus the cost of shipping, within 30 days of purchase.
Damaged or defective items
If you receive a damaged or defective product, you have 15 days from the delivery date to report the damage. The damage must be reported by the original recipient. Reports of damage by a 3rd party will not be honored. After 15 days has passed, claims for damage will not be processed. Damaged items may be replaced or repaired at the sole discretion of Dennis Caskey Woodworking.
Colors, Fonts, Proofs, Changes, Order Mistakes
Colors – Please note that colors may be different on the final product than they appear on your computer screen. Every effort has been made to accurately portray colors on our part. Screen brightness, resolution, and position can lighten or darken colors in our photos. Unfortunately, we will not be able to replace or exchange an item if the color is not “exactly” as you thought it would be.
Fonts – Please understand that every font has different characteristics and some letters may not turn out the same way you would write the letter. This is not an error and we will not replace an item because of font characteristics. Thank you for understanding.
Proofs – Proofs will be sent by request only. If no proof is requested on the order, we will complete the item with your information in the style shown in the listing. If you receive your order and are unhappy with a font or layout and you did not request a proof, we will not replace your order free of charge. Proofs WILL delay your order.
Changes – Once an order is placed it is sent directly into production. Absolutely no changes are able to be made after your order is placed. Changes include, but are not limited to, engraving information (names, date) colors, or shipping information. If you contact me with a change I will do my best to implement the change, but additional charges may apply.
Mistakes on order form – On occasion, a customer will misspell a name or give an incorrect date on their order. I am often asked if I can fix this if the item is sent back to me. The short answer is “maybe” however, it is usually more work to correct an item than it is to make a new one. Because of this, I do offer a discount to defray the cost of purchasing a new item. Please contact me to receive the discount code if you need to reorder due to an error on your order.
